Bio: Tracy enjoys working with clients of all age ranges with various needs ranging from surgical recovery to training for events to preparing for a wedding. In the past she has competed in many events including a marathon, half marathon and duathlons. Her next goal is to complete the urbanathlon Tracy emphasizes to her clients that it isn’t all about what the scale says – it is about becoming healthier and stronger both mentally and physically. When we are healthy, it motivates us in more areas of our lives than we can imagine.

Certifications/ Trainings: BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training, Masters of Science in exercise and Sports Studies, Licensed Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant. Performance enhancement specialist certification through NASM.

Areas of Specialty/ Hobbies: Tasha enjoys working with clients of all varieties, from first time exercises to seasoned veterans, or those looking for performance enhancement or sports specific training. She is especially well trained to work with people that are returning to a fitness program after an injury. Her education includes a bachelors of science in exercise science, emphasizing in Athletic Training and a masters of science in exercise and sports studies. She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant and has a performance enhancement specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is also a group fitness instructor for the Y. When she's not busy being mom to her 2 kids, Tasha's hobbies include cooking, running and skydiving.

Bio: Zack firmly believes that fitness is a form of lifestyle and that anyone can have the lifestyle they want as long as they are willing to work for it. He specializes in sports performance training in areas of Football, Basketball, and Baseball, and Endurance Sports performance focus on Triathlon. He also trains running form and performs video gait analysis for new and experienced athletes. Zack has completed two Half Iron man Distance Triathlons and shorter distance events. He’s a proud husband and father who not only motivates others to accomplish their goals, but has also accomplished his own goal of teaching himself to swim at the age of 25. Zack’s knowledge of what every person is truly capable of, motivates him to push you past your limits, not your body’s. No one will ever know their limits except for those one puts on themselves.

Melissa has completed additional course work in the fitness field in Core Conditioning, Interval Training, and TRX Suspension Training. Melissa has ten years of personal training experience. Her areas of expertise and special interest is in plyometrics, cardio strength intervals, bodyweight exercises, core conditioning and functional training. Melissa has worked with a large demographic of clients ranging from teen, to pre /post pregnancy, post injury and rehabilitation, and active older adults. Bio: Sheyrena has experience in many different fitness revenues, also including ballroom dancing and ballet. On my days off as a firefighter, I have privilege to work as a personal trainer at the NM-YMCA and have been doing so since 2001. I find it very rewarding to help people improve their quality of life through functional strength training. I've learned small changes can lead to big achievements! My goal is to provide motivation, guidance and advice to bring out client's healthiest version of themselves. Health and wellness can be confusing with the fact that there are numerous types of workouts and exercises. It can be very frustrating if you feel like you're doing everything right yet not seeing results. My approach is to listen and put myself in your shoes to establish a workout designed specifically for you.

My hobbies include a variety of endurance sports. These include running 5Ks-100Ks, Ironman Triathlons, Paddle Triathlons, Mountain Biking, Cross-Country Skiing, Adventure Racing, Orienteering, and Snowshoeing. I also enjoy preparing plant-based meals and snacks.

He believes exercising should first and foremost, be about the individuals needs and goals. Whether it's general fitness for improving one's quality of life or the athlete looking to get the upper edge against competition, it all starts with the individual and their goals. Bio: I have a passion for helping people.  I started out at the YMCA in Appleton/Heart of the Valley Gymnastics facility right after I graduated college as a competitive gymnastics coach.  I have worked in a variety of positions in the Health and Wellness field since 1998, everything from Coaching, teaching Phy Ed, personal training, Corporate Wellness to my current position as Wellness Coordinator for the Neenah Y.  I love running endurance races, ultra-marathons and trail running. I love talking to people and finding out what their barriers are and where they’ve come from and how we can work together to help them accomplish their goals. I enjoy working with those who’ve had knee replacements, hip replacements, and other injuries and helping them get on a path of strengthening those joints so they can resume their daily activities.  I get excited helping people transform their lives and live healthier and stronger and accomplish things they never thought they could because of a little encouragement and motivation.

Bio: Rebecca has taught adult and child swim lessons for 20 years, and taught water fitness classes for 12 years. She currently teaches H2O Challenge, Aqua Yoga, Aqua Arthritis, and Deep Water classes. She also works with adults who have special needs (for example, MS) in the water, teaching them to swim and doing water therapy. Rebecca also sets individuals on a goal program specific to water exercise, and is available for personal training in the water.

I joined the swim team and stayed with the Y until I was in middle school. As an adult I’m married with four great kids. They are too part of the Y.

Bio: Michelle instructs a variety of group exercise classes which include Body Boot-camp, TRX/Kettlebell Combo, and Teen Strength. She specializes in interval training as well as long distance running. Michelle trains clients who are beginners looking for a direction in general fitness, to those who are advanced athletes. She creates an individualized program for each client to achieve their specific goals. Her athletic and running background helps her relate to our members, while striving for their goals. Michelle’s hobbies are volleyball, running, bow hunting, and obviously watching the Packers.

Bio: Having a passion for fitness her entire adult life, Mary turned that passion into a career in 2002. She is one of the few trainers in the area who specializes in personal training both on land and in the pool. Depending upon your goals and fitness levels, she can create a program that will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. Mary has worked with a variety of different clients, specializing in: training for triathlons and half- marathons, wanting to lose weight and improve overall fitness, individuals with joint issues or injuries that have prevents them from land training, and also those who want to improve strength, flexibility, and range-of-motion.

Bio: Aaron’s focus is on assisting you to clearly define and reach your specific fitness goals not only by creating a personalized fitness program, but also by listening, encouraging, and offering feedback to help you gain optimal results - results not measured against others, but against yourself and how you feel. Being overweight and losing 50lbs primarily with running an biking (and changing eating habits) led Aaron to understand the importance of a complete fitness program, not just cardiovascular training. He provides his clients with a complete fitness program focusing on the 5 core components of fitness; cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. Bio: Heather lives a healthy, active lifestyle. She hopes to set an example to others. She has placed in the top3 of a natural body building competition. She has run two marathons and also has trained a client to complete a full marathon. Heather has trained a range of clients from cancer survivors, rehabilitative clients from accidents, weight lifters, to just those trying to get familiar with the gym. Heather believes a combination of exercise and nutrition are important to a good, healthy life!

Char Nichols

Certification/Training: Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine with an emphasis on strength training and competition readiness, Masters Certification ASFA, NEITA Personal Trainer, and Certified Instructor in TRX, Boot Camp, and Kick-boxing, CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.

Bio: Char began her fitness journey through competitive body building. She witnessed how diet and exercise can transform her life! Her own personal journey has led to her commitment to helping others achieve their health and fitness goals, no matter how big or small. She works with all ages of clients from the young to the older adults with all levels of fitness from beginner to advanced. She is a compassionate yet tough trainer who is eager to help people on their journey to better health, especially those who are very competitive! Char’s personal mantra is, “Refuse to be average!”

Bio: Dawn enjoys many outdoor activities including trail running, mountain biking and hiking. She believes fitness along with nutrition is a way of life and with the right attitude and motivation it can be a very fun, exciting and fulfilling lifestyle. She has worked with a variety of populations including athletes, weight loss, strength and conditioning, endurance training, injury prevention and older adults. She loves working with clients who are dedicated to become healthier individuals.

Josh Kuester

Bio: As a Personal Trainer I have worked with a variety of people with varying conditions stemming from cerebral palsy, autism, and chronic arthritis to weight loss and performance enhancement. No matter the condition or the goal of my client exercise selection is always a meticulous process to ensure effectiveness and longevity. My focus is on the qualitative aspects of exercise – how well; as opposed to the quantitive aspects: how much, how many and how fast. In my experience this encourages adherence to an exercise program. Together we will devise a plan that meets you where you are at so your experience with exercise can lead to the results that you are looking for.

Bio: Cami has been in the Wellness Department at the Neenah-Menasha Y since 2010 first as a Goal Trainer and now as a Personal Trainer. She loves seeing her clients working out with or with out her on a regular basis, seeing that improvement in habit is very rewarding. She works with a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Cami is eager to listen to her clients needs, expectations and goals and likes the challenge of helping her clients reach those goals.

Areas of Specialty/Hobbies: Sam has a passion for health and wellness as well as helping others. Not only is she a Personal Trainer at the YMCA in the evenings, she is also a Medicare Health Coach during the day at her full time job. Sam has worked with a variety of people and enjoys the differences that each client brings to their training sessions. When Sam is not at the YMCA or working her full time job, you can find her cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers as well as training for an upcoming racing event (training for her first half marathon which is taking place this fall at the Fox Cities Marathon)!

Fitness can mean different things to different people, but whether its balance, strength or functional training, Sara will help you reach your goals. “ I meet people where they are and push them to flourish in their goals. We all have barriers and I love to see people conquer them.”
