Bio: Tracy enjoys working with clients of all age ranges with various needs ranging from surgical recovery to training for events to preparing for a wedding. In the past she has competed in many events including a marathon, half marathon and duathlons. Her next goal is to complete the urbanathlon Tracy emphasizes to her clients that it isn’t all about what the scale says – it is about becoming healthier and stronger both mentally and physically. When we are healthy, it motivates us in more areas of our lives than we can imagine.

Certifications/ Trainings: BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training, Masters of Science in exercise and Sports Studies, Licensed Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant. Performance enhancement specialist certification through NASM.

Areas of Specialty/ Hobbies: Tasha enjoys working with clients of all varieties, from first time exercises to seasoned veterans, or those looking for performance enhancement or sports specific training. She is especially well trained to work with people that are returning to a fitness program after an injury. Her education includes a bachelors of science in exercise science, emphasizing in Athletic Training and a masters of science in exercise and sports studies. She is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and Physical Therapist Assistant and has a performance enhancement specialist certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is also a group fitness instructor for the Y. When she's not busy being mom to her 2 kids, Tasha's hobbies include cooking, running and skydiving.

Developing programs for all levels of personal fitness and athletic abilities, Heidi has helped clients successfully lose weight, improve balance and core strength, add muscle, prepare for competitive sports, maximize athletic performance, and continue to rehabilitate after injury.

Bio: Zack firmly believes that fitness is a form of lifestyle and that anyone can have the lifestyle they want as long as they are willing to work for it. He specializes in sports performance training in areas of Football, Basketball, and Baseball, and Endurance Sports performance focus on Triathlon. He also trains running form and performs video gait analysis for new and experienced athletes. Zack has completed two Half Iron man Distance Triathlons and shorter distance events. He’s a proud husband and father who not only motivates others to accomplish their goals, but has also accomplished his own goal of teaching himself to swim at the age of 25. Zack’s knowledge of what every person is truly capable of, motivates him to push you past your limits, not your body’s. No one will ever know their limits except for those one puts on themselves.

Melissa has completed additional course work in the fitness field in Core Conditioning, Interval Training, and TRX Suspension Training. Melissa has ten years of personal training experience. Her areas of expertise and special interest is in plyometrics, cardio strength intervals, bodyweight exercises, core conditioning and functional training. Bio: I have a passion for helping people.  I started out at the YMCA in Appleton/Heart of the Valley Gymnastics facility right after I graduated college as a competitive gymnastics coach.  I have worked in a variety of positions in the Health and Wellness field since 1998, everything from Coaching, teaching Phy Ed, personal training, Corporate Wellness to my current position as Wellness Coordinator for the Neenah Y.  I love running endurance races, ultra-marathons and trail running. I love talking to people and finding out what their barriers are and where they’ve come from and how we can work together to help them accomplish their goals. I enjoy working with those who’ve had knee replacements, hip replacements, and other injuries and helping them get on a path of strengthening those joints so they can resume their daily activities.  I get excited helping people transform their lives and live healthier and stronger and accomplish things they never thought they could because of a little encouragement and motivation.

Bio: Rebecca has taught adult and child swim lessons for 20 years, and taught water fitness classes for 12 years. She currently teaches H2O Challenge, Aqua Yoga, Aqua Arthritis, and Deep Water classes. She also works with adults who have special needs (for example, MS) in the water, teaching them to swim and doing water therapy. Rebecca also sets individuals on a goal program specific to water exercise, and is available for personal training in the water.

Bio: Having a passion for fitness her entire adult life, Mary turned that passion into a career in 2002. She is one of the few trainers in the area who specializes in personal training both on land and in the pool. Depending upon your goals and fitness levels, she can create a program that will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals. Mary has worked with a variety of different clients, specializing in: training for triathlons and half- marathons, wanting to lose weight and improve overall fitness, individuals with joint issues or injuries that have prevents them from land training, and also those who want to improve strength, flexibility, and range-of-motion.

Bio: Aaron’s focus is on assisting you to clearly define and reach your specific fitness goals not only by creating a personalized fitness program, but also by listening, encouraging, and offering feedback to help you gain optimal results - results not measured against others, but against yourself and how you feel. Being overweight and losing 50lbs primarily with running an biking (and changing eating habits) led Aaron to understand the importance of a complete fitness program, not just cardiovascular training. He provides his clients with a complete fitness program focusing on the 5 core components of fitness; cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility. Along with his running, cycling, and sports experience, he utilizes these key components of fitness to create a complete fitness program for any sport, activity, or individual goal for any person (ranging from athletes, to weight loss clients, to adults simply looking to improve their fitness levels). Sam Schnell

Kate Harrell

Certification/Training: Registered Dietitian, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, ACSM certified, PWR! Moves certified (Parkinson's certification), FMS certified member, and currently pursuing NSCA Certified Special Population Specialist certification. Kate is also teaches in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh (Clinical Nutrition & Weight Management and the lab section of Exercise Modification & Progression).

Bio: I love the camaraderie of small group training and have a strong focus on exercises targeted towards injury prevention and safe yet challenging progressions for all levels and abilities. I make sure to incorporate FUN into all workouts and enjoy going outside the box of traditional machine-based exercise. I have a passion for endurance training, especially running, completing over 20 marathons, and multiple ultra-endurance races up the 50-mile distance. I thoroughly enjoy applying the science of sport and nutrition and continually working to learn, adapt and improve performance and training alike.

Mary Wideman

Bio: Mary enjoys working with novice exercisers all the way to competitive athletes. She enjoys all age ranges and fitness levels.

Sports have always been an important part of Mary’s life. She has completed on the Appleton YMCA gymnastics team as a child and has recently competed in Fit Body competitions, half marathons and other endurance races. Her newest challenge has been competing in adventure races. Whatever your fitness level is it doesn’t matter, it’s a place to start and we will improve upon that.

Bio: David has always had a passion for physical challenges, and strives to reach new fitness goals. He has an interest in Corrective Exercise and plans to pursue certification as Corrective Exercise Specialist, as well as, a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. With this knowledge, David hopes to help people from all walks of life to overcome their physical fitness challenges, and reach other goals that they have set in their life. David believes that the act of setting and reaching a fitness goal builds a sense of accomplishment, and motivation that tends to flow into all the other activities of our daily lives.

In his off time David enjoys exercising, camping, kayaking, and hiking. His own current training program is designed for bear wrestling, because David cannot currently find a bear proof tent.

Mariah is also passionate about running and participates in many endurance races and leads a cross country program for kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade. She teaches all kinds of classes that range from a trampoline fitness class to a boot camp inspired class and keeps people motivated and encouraged throughout. Any goal you may have she would love to help you get there. Mariah live a life that promotes healthy living, and with a little hard work and good nutrition, everyone can reach their fitness goals.
