The past decade has been a time of explosive growth and unparalleled impact for the YMCA of the Fox Cities. After merging the Appleton and Neenah-Menasha YMCAs in 2002, we built three new Ys and evolved our programs to meet the need of our changing community. Since then, membership has more than doubled.

Through the Growing Stronger Together Capital Campaign, we will continue to meet the ever-expanding needs of our community.

The funds will be used to improve and expand four YMCA of the Fox Cities facilities that are aging and experiencing tremendous growth. To learn more about each branch's projects, click on the image below.

  • Appleton YMCA - Enhanced security of Child Care Area, enhanced Welcome Center and Member Services Area, Lower Lobby Service Area renovations and enhanced building accessibility

  • Fox West YMCA - New first-floor Wellness Center, gymnasium addition, second-floor multi-purpose space and wellness equipment upgrades, enhanced Member Service Area and new Playground.

  • Heart of the Valley YMCA - Family locker room expansions, Wellness Center and free weight expansion, Aerobic and Cycling Studio additions, wellness equipment upgrades and additional office space.

  • Neenah-Menasha YMCA-Locker room renovations, upgrades to Adventure Alley indoor child play area and wellness equipment.

Individuals, organizations, and businesses through the Fox Cities are committed to the cause of the Y - to strengthen community.

We believe that lasting personal and social change can come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors.

"The YMCA of the Fox Cities is addressing some of the most serious problems our community is facing such as obesity in adults and children, lack of social connectedness, safe places for children and families to bond, lack of access to affordable childcare and chronic illness in all ages."

- Cathie Tierney, President/CEO, Community First Credit Union

"With a strong membership of 45,000 members and an additional 27,000 program participants, it is appropriate to state that more than 70 percent of our area residents of all ages, races and income levels participate in a Y program or activity each year. Now more than ever it is vital for the Y to be able to respond to community needs. One example is the Y's Hop the Gap initiative, a collective response to the complex issues impacting youth. Every day young people face challenges related to health, learning, water safety and safe spaces, which prevent them from reaching their potential. In response, Y staff and volunteers provide support and deliver programs that help youth overcome barriers - or gaps - to achieve more"

- Bill Breider, President/CEO, YMCA of the Fox
