Strategic Overview

The rapidly changing nature of the surrounding area necessitates that we adopt a stance that is open to new collaborative opportunities that serve the community. It is also necessary to be good stewards of our resources and assure that we do an outstanding job of serving the community with each program, each facility and each service that falls under our stewardship, in a manner that exemplifies the mission and values of the YMCA.

Our Vision:
The YMCA of the Fox Cities aims to be the premier human service and membership organization in the Fox Cities, while fostering collaboration and effectively utilizing all resources. Our strategic guiding principles will guide the development efforts of the YMCA of the Fox Cities through 2010 and include:

The mission of the organization will be foremost in all operations. The values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility will serve as an umbrella over all YMCA programs and services. These core values, along with inclusiveness, will be paramount when working with volunteers, staff, members and the community.

The Association will take advantage of association-wide economies of scale and synergies of programs, services and communities.

Ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity will help guide staff and volunteers to be responsive to emerging social and community needs.

Future Goal:
By the year 2010, the YMCA of the Fox Cities will have contributed significantly to the development of people in spirit, mind and body, and improved the quality of life in the community through its planned growth in:
