For nearly 130 years, the YMCA of the Fox Cities has been a unifying force in the Fox Valley. More than 45,000 community members of all ages, races and income levels participate in a Y program or activity each year. Currently, the YMCA of the Fox Cities is addressing some of the most serious problems our community is facing such as obesity, lack of social connectedness, safe places for children and families to bond, lack of access to affordable child care and chronic illness in all ages.

With the YMCA of the Fox Cities' five facilities, Apple Creek, Appleton, Fox West, Heart of the Valley and Neenah-Menasha YMCA's, overnight Camp Nan A Bo Sho, three Child Development Centers and thirty-five Before/After School Sites, the Y plays a critical role in giving people of all ages a safe and welcoming place to be healthy, become part of the community and achieve their goals.

In response to continually meeting the ever-changing needs of our community, the YMCA of the Fox Cities embarked on its "Growing Stronger Together" Capital Campaign to raise over $8 million to improve and expand four existing YMCA of the Fox Cities facilities that are aging and experiencing tremendous growth. The community response was overwhelmingly generous and supportive and all goals were reached.

Renovation and expansion projects have been completed and will help the Y continue to serve the ever-growing and changing population, and safely and efficiently deliver high-quality programs to all who wish to participate. Highlights for each of the projects are shown below.

Appleton YMCA

Enhanced security of child care area, enhanced Welcome Center and Member Services areas, lower lobby service area renovations and enhanced building accessibility.

Fox West YMCA

New first-floor Wellness Center, gymnasium addition, second-floor multi-purpose space, enhanced Member Service area and new playground.

Heart of the Valley YMCA

Family locker room expansions, Wellness Center and free weight expansion, aerobic and cycling studio additions and additional office space.

Neenah-Menasha YMCA

Complete renovation of Adventure Alley indoor play area and upgrades to family, men/boys and special needs locker rooms.

In addition to these renovations, each Y location received wellness equipment upgrades and YMCA Camp Nan A Bo Sho received a grant for bathroom renovations and the renovation of all outer cabins with new flooring, lighting, ventilation and enlarged square footage.

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to every Growing Stronger Together Capital Campaign donor who made the financial commitment to invest in the future of the YMCA of the Fox Cities. We are deeply grateful to all donors who invested in our facilities, allowing us to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality programs to all who desire to participate. Every gift, no matter the size, brought the vision of expansions and renovations to life.

The work we do is made possible through the generous donations from our community partners and individuals who believe in our cause. We would like to extend our appreciation to all campaign volunteers for their leadership and dedication to making our Growing Stronger Together Capital Campaign a success for the Y and the communities we serve.
