Bridging the Gap Between Therapy and the Life You Want

An injury can have a dramatic effect on your quality of life. The Y’s Post-Rehab program provides a continuation of healing beyond physical therapy for individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries — allowing them to return to the activities and lifestyle they want in a safe, healthy manner. Our certified personal trainers work directly with your physical therapist to understand the history of your injury and ensure appropriate exercise progression. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, managing a high co-pay situation, returning to sport, or preparing your body before a procedure, the Y’s Post-Rehab program is here to support you.

Individual Post-Rehab Program

Our certified personal trainers have additional professional experience as Licensed Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers, and other specialties — and we work to match you with the trainer best suited to your specific needs.

The program is offered as either a 4-week (6 visits) or 8-week (12 visits) format. Sessions run 45 minutes twice per week for the first half of the program, then once per week for the remainder.

Each session includes a warm-up, a land or water program, and a cool-down/stretch, with a focus on improving flexibility and range of motion, building core strength for balance and control, full body strengthening, and cardiovascular fitness.

Y Member pricing:

  • 6 sessions $253
  • 12 sessions $516

Payment plan options are available — contact a Wellness Director or Coordinator at your preferred branch.

Trainer-to-Therapist Coordination

What sets the Y’s Post-Rehab program apart is the direct coordination between our certified personal trainers and your physical therapist. Your trainer receives the history of your injury or surgery and your physical therapy progress, ensuring your exercise program is safe, appropriate, and moving in the right direction. You also gain full access to all YMCA of the Fox Cities locations — including training areas and equipment, pools, gyms, and group exercise classes.
